Drip irrigation adoption in the country is increasing at a comparatively faster rate since 2005. Though the farmers irrigate their crop through drip, the full benefit of drip system will be achieved only if the fertilizers/ nutrients are applied through the drip system as fertigation/ nutrigation. Since the efficiency of the applied fertilizer increases considerably there is an immense scope for reducing the fertilizer doze.

When fertigation is done, to manage the clogging problem of the emitters, there is a need to advise the farmers regarding the selection of appropriate water soluble fertilizers. Further the dose of different fertilizers at different crop growth stages depending upon the uptake pattern of the nutrients, the number of splits at each stage and the quantity of fertilizers at each split. The present software is intended to guide the farmers on the above aspects.
